Ingredients and spices that need to be Get to make Special Green Rice:

  1. FOR boiling rice
  2. 300 grams Rice (approx) (using Basmati rice)
  3. as required Water 2X of Rice (The water used for palak to get green colour)
  4. As per taste Salt
  5. For making Green Rice
  6. 2 tbsp Olive Oil
  7. 1 tbsp Butter
  8. 1 Tej Patta
  9. 1 piece Cinnamon
  10. 1 tsp Jeera
  11. 2-3 pods Clove
  12. 1/2 cup Onions (Sliced)
  13. 1/4 cup Capsicum (Sliced)
  14. 1 tbsp Green Chilli Paste
  15. 1 bowl Boiled Palak Puree
  16. as per taste Salt
  17. 1 tbsp Garam masala

Instructions to make to make Special Green Rice

  1. First Boil the rice and strain it. Wash it with cold water to stop overcooking.
  2. Now, heat a Kadhai and add 2 tbsp Olive oil and 1 tbsp Butter. Let the Oil heat and Butter melt. Now add in 1 tsp Jeera.
  3. Then add 1 Tej Patta, 1 piece of Cinnamon, and 2-3 pods of Cloves.
  4. Add in Some Sliced Onions and saute it for 5 minutes until cooked completely.
  5. Now add in Some Sliced Capsicum and saute it for more than 5 minutes until cooked completely.
  6. Add in some green chili paste and saute it for a minute.
  7. Then goes in the Palak Puree. Mix it well and add salt.
  8. Add in some Garam masala and mix it well.
  9. Then finally add boiled rice. I have told to boil in the water in which Palak was boiled. I told as it will give a nice green color to the rice. It will not be visible on the camera but it has got a nice green color.
  10. Finally, mix everything well and our Green Rice is ready. Serve hot. Enjoy! 😋✨
